K.C. Joy (Kwang Chol Joy) was found guilty and sentenced 15 to life in jail for allegedly killing Maribel Ramos, 36, in 2013. Maribel’s corpse was located in Silverado Canyon in a shallow burial.
K.C. was convicted of second-degree murder in July 2014 in the death of Maribel, an Iraq veteran and active student at California State University-Fullerton.
According to ABC, K.C. killed her between May 2 and May 3, 2013. According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, he later dumped her corpse in the canyon.
