Laal Singh Chaddha will release on Netflix; the deal closed at a much lower price

Laal Singh Chaddha OTT agreement gives Aamir Khan restless nights; star ultimately agrees on a lesser price for digital release of his labour of love.

Laal Singh Chaddha has had a bittersweet experience at the Indian and international box office.

However, the film's producers have been attempting to earn a fortune off its OTT distribution contract.

The film, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, was allegedly in negotiations to be sold for the internet premiere for more over Rs. 150 crores.

In addition, the filmmakers desired the film's OTT release to occur six months after its theatrical debut.

Aamir Khan wanted to recreate the success of Dangal with Laal Singh Chaddha in China.

However, according to rumours, Netflix only offered Rs. 80–90 crores, and according to the most recent report, the price was later reduced to Rs. 50 crores according to the box office results.

And there is good news for Aamir Khan fans and those who bypassed seeing the film in theatres and awaited the OTT release of Laal Singh Chaddha.

The film will not wait six months until its OTT debut, but instead adhere to the eight-week window before it hits your home and phone.
